Digging to set up the basin was a huge effort (clay soil). But easy to install, lovely trickle sound, and beautiful to look at!
Beautiful addition to my naturally rocky backyard. We placed it at the bottom of the hill, dug a big hole, then leveled it for the fountain and surrounded with the rocks from our yard. It looks very natural and sounds like a gentle babbling water. Perfect! The pump does have a bit of hum when you come close to it but after about 5 feet away, no hum is heard. Some birds dont bathe in it for that reason. They sit on it but dont use it, others splash in it every day, I love that! It really completed my garden with its gentle water splashing sounds. ❤️ Im in Northern California and the water doesnt evaporate much, which is exactly what I was looking for. I add water once a week with my hose while I hand water, but I really dont have to do that.
The fountain looks great and sounds like a babbling brook! Pretty easy to install. I had to buy 6 bags of rock to cover and decorate the area around the fountain. We are still landscaping the area around it but so far I’m really enjoying it!
At first when delivered and I unpacked, I thought it didn’t look very nice. Once it was installed with water flowing, I fell in love. Already several compliments.
