You don't need a fancy calculator to figure out how much pond liner you need. Let's break it down into simple steps to find out the right size.

    1. Measure Your Pond: Get three measurements - how long your pond is from one end to the other, how wide it is from side to side, and how deep it is from the water's surface to the bottom.

    2. Calculating the Length:
Add the length of your pond to twice the depth, then add 2 more feet for overhang on each side. This part is like adding extra paper for wrapping a present. Measuring and adding more for the edges will prevent ordering the wrong size.

    3. Calculating the Width: Do the same thing for the width of your pond. Add the width to twice the depth, then add 2 more feet for overhang on each side. Special Cases - L Shaped Ponds: If your pond has an L shape, split it into two rectangles. Measure each rectangle separately, then add the extra bits for wrapping just like before.

    4. Choosing the Right Material:
Our 45mil EPDM rubber is the best choice for a pond liner. It's super tough and lasts decades. The 45 mil thickness is strong enough for most ponds.

PRO TIP - Don't Forget Underlay: Protect your investment, 45mil is very durable, but underlay will add another layer of protection to prevent leaks and holes, whether you're a new pond owner or a construction company purchasing for a client, we advise this and highly reccomend it.

Applying the Liner: Lay the liner out flat, removing any wrinkles or folds. If it's been folded or rolled up, let it relax in the sun to make it easier to work with.

Then, fill your pond halfway with water before adding rocks, so they don't fall in. Remember these tips, and you'll have your pond lined up no problem!
