Evolution Aqua's K1 Media and K1 Micro Media are the go-to champions for biological filtration! Specifically designed for fluidized bed filters, this media stays in constant motion, maximizing its filtration effectiveness.
Originally crafted for use in the Nexus 220 and Nexus 320 filter units, K1 Media is versatile enough to be used in various applications. Allowing the K1 Media to mature is crucial, as it fosters a delicate ecosystem where beneficial bacteria thrive, playing a vital role in the nitrification process. K1 Media provides an impressive active surface area for bacteria to colonize—more than many static media types. This is essential for effectively removing harmful ammonia and nitrite from your water.
As the K1 Media moves through the filter, it displaces older, dead bacteria, making room for younger, more efficient bacteria to thrive. Inside the media's unique design, a protected surface allows bacterial colonies to grow and complete their life cycles, ensuring a steady nitrification process. K1 Media creates the ideal habitat for both young and mature beneficial bacteria.
What sets K1 Media apart from foam, matting, and other static filtration media is its ability to move freely within the filter. The chaotic movement caused by your pump's airflow self-cleans the media, eliminating the need for maintenance. This continuous activity keeps your filter functioning at peak performance without the risk of disrupting bacterial colonies through periodic cleaning.
As you feed your fish, watch the media darken with a biofilm coating—an excellent indicator of a thriving ecosystem!

I needed to get basic power for lights into a shed that had no electrical hookup available. I have tried many battery powered lights, that just didn't cut it. They would die or were just not bright enough. I decided to try a Delta 2 and 2-100 watt solar panels to recharge the battery. I was only able to mount the panels on the east slope of the roof, but it has held the charge. I am in Ohio where it gets too cold and keeps the battery from charging when it gets too cold, so we have had several days where we weren't charging because the shed was too cold. I still have not run out of power for the 100' ten light strand I hung up. This setup is an expensive fix, but it has proved itself to work even through our cold, gray Ohio winter.
We love it!
I have been searching around for a power station for a couple of months, I saw other brands and the Ecoflow compatibility and design seemed to be best, I started to purchase the delta pro (older cheaper model) but I seen the new Delta Pro 3 and the finish is really nice and has more features, I just needed something to charge tools and take with me to my camper and this is perfect, no complaints here
I was hesitant to purchase this because the 3-4 hour installation estimate was intimidating to me, being that I am a not very handy middle aged woman. Turns out it was extremely easy and I had the whole thing together in about an hour. A friend dug the hole and I did the rest. It is peaceful, beautiful and a great addition to my garden. I look forward to next season when the plants and grasses have grown in around the fountain, it will be gorgeous.
Purchased the Ecoflow Delta 2 with extra battery to use primarily as a backup to our pellet stove which is our primary source of heat in our home in the winter. It is nice knowing that the inverter has the capability of handling that much electricity draw. We anticipate using it also as a backup for our sump pump during the warmer rainy months and also having the benefit of solar will a welcome feature.
